CHICAGO (March 2, 2021) – The Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana started early to plan for a robust online presence during the all-important Girl Scout Cookie season happening now through early spring. With the pandemic greatly limiting Girl Scouts’ ability to sell cookies in person, getting the word out in new ways and making online ordering as easy as possible is critically important.
Colman Brohan & Davis, Inc. (CBD Marketing) partnered with GSGCNWI on a strategic brainstorming session, ultimately developing pro bono creative for a Facebook ad campaign targeting likely cookie buyers in the geographic area served by the council. Facebook carousel ads are in-market using colorful Girl Scout and cookie imagery and including a link to order online. The agency’s media team was deployed to place and measure the campaign, which runs through April 4.

Optimizing the online channel for cookie ordering while still involving girls and their local troop is especially important during the pandemic.”
