CHICAGO (July 26, 2021) – The benefits of a strong mentor relationship for young women as they think about life, school and career choices are undeniable. The Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana (GSGCNWI) is enabling these important relationships with their Camp CEO, a program which pairs 30 women mentors with 30 teen Girl Scouts, age 14-18.
Colman Brohan & Davis, Inc. (CBD Marketing) CEO, Liz Brohan, is one of the mentors in this summer’s Camp CEO, which runs July 26 through July 30. Now in its 15th year, the program provides valuable leadership skills and training that help girls take on whatever comes next in their lives. Camp CEO combines three days of in-person experiences at Camp Greene Wood with two days of virtual training and workshops.
Girls will have sessions on personal development, public speaking, conflict resolution effective communications, collaboration and problem solving. They’ll work with their mentors individually as well in team and group settings.
“I am so happy to be participating as a mentor in this incredible program,” said Brohan. “Empowering and helping young women as they navigate important decision-making is critical to their ability to succeed in life. Hats off to the Girl Scouts for recognizing how valuable these relationships are and creating this opportunity.”
