CHICAGO (December 2, 2020) – Mary Olivieri, EVP and Executive Creative Director at Colman Brohan & Davis, Inc. (CBD Marketing) is sharing her passion for great writing at a virtual workshop sponsored by Ragan Communications and Ragan Consulting. She’ll co-present with Kristin Graham, Principal, Culture and Communications at Amazon.
The December 11 workshop, “Employee Engagement in a Virtual World,” is for individuals and teams tasked with internal and employee communications. The interactive session addresses the challenges of keeping employees who work remotely informed and engaged with a company’s culture and mission after many months of working from home and Zoom fatigue.
Attendees will learn how to:
- Use storytelling to put employees front and center in communications
- Plan more engaging and fun virtual events by thinking outside the box
- Prioritize employee wellbeing to keep morale and trust high
- Reignite the creative spark and craft communications that grab the attention of even the most distracted employee
Graham will lead off the first half of the workshop speaking on storytelling, culture and engagement in times of change. Olivieri is speaking on creativity from the inside out: tricks and tactics to boost the creativity of teams and create captivating internal campaigns. She’ll lead interactive exercises to reinvigorate creativity and build a creative process that inspires, transforms and accelerates great writing.
“My goal is to help participants get out of their comfort zones and kill their inner editor, which only leads to same-old-same-old writing,” says Olivieri. “I’ll talk about free association techniques to get to new ideas, using imagery as well as copy transformation through the use of personas.”
“Employee Engagement in a Virtual World” is available as a live, virtual summit event Friday, December 11 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Eastern Time or on demand. Register here.
