Production Designer

We’re looking for a Production Designer who has a passion for accuracy and thrives on executing projects at the speed of sound! Is that you?


You efficiently complete layouts, execute resizes and apply changes originated from the internal team, a producer or directly from a client – and they’re like, “Whoa! Excellent job!” You have 2+ years of experience – preferably in an agency setting. And you also possess these very important qualities – or what we like to call VIQs:

  • Communication and interpretation skills
  • Lightning-quick design execution skills in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, WordPress (with or without a page builder)
  • Self-starter attitude whose not afraid to ask questions
  • Can execute a series of tasks that will appear on screen, in print or on billboards
  • Work cross-departmentally with Creative, Workflow and Digital
  • Understand digital user experience and information architecture
  • Have the basics of printing process, photography, illustration and typography
  • Have working knowledge of video production


  • Interprets ideas from sketches, diagrams, and wireframes to rapidly create visual comps and prototypes
  • Works hand-in-hand with producers to efficiently produce prescribed content
  • Proofreads and checks own work against provided instructions
  • Presentation design and new business asset support
  • PR/Social Media design support – ie – content plus-ups, graphic treatments based on approved guidelines
  • Ensures that ideas/designs are produced on budget and on time—and are profitable with the degree of quality promised to the client
  • Identifies process efficiencies for increased profitability
  • Exhibits strong time and project management skills
  • “Manages up” with proactive communication with superiors
  • Assists with coordinating projects you own in partnership with Workflow –-keeping them informed and up-to-date on project status, blockers and needs
  • Owns projects with minimal supervision
  • Enhances creative team with positive attitude and passion for agency work/life


Education and Experience

  • Graphic design degree (BFA, MFA, other)
  • Minimum two years’ experience in fast-paced environment (agency experience preferred)
  • Portfolio or website link to examples of work and/or “case studies” are a must
  • And if you have a favorite project story where you kicked particular butt, feel free to share



  • Microsoft Office Suite – specifically Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Most recent version of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Photo retouching
  • Print production process
  • Responsive email and web design
  • Working knowledge of both MacOS- and Windows-based operating systems
  • Knowledge of emerging offline and online content formats
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus
  • Knowledge of mobile devices and interactive software a plus
  • Knowledge of video editing and motion graphics software a plus
  • Work with a web-based workflow management software a plus
