Digital Marketing Specialist

Founded in 1988 and headquartered in Chicago, Colman Brohan & Davis, Inc. (CBD Marketing) is an award-winning, full-service marketing agency. Our clients include well-known brands such as Whirlpool Corporation, Blue Diamond Almonds and Gerber Plumbing Fixtures. And, we specialize in the strategic planning and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns across the spectrum of marketing disciplines.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILTILLITIES

CBD Marketing is looking for a motivated and passionate marketer to join our digital marketing and analytics team as a Digital Marketing Specialist.  This role works within the agency’s paid media department, but collaborates with individuals across the agency for planning, buying and delivery of our clients’ digital media campaigns. This includes:

Campaign Setup and Management

  • The identification of recommended audience targeting options within each campaign’s designated platform, in alignment with the identified target audience
  • Assemble client facing presentations for review and approval of recommended audience targeting options
  • Coordinate with CBD’s creative team, account service and project managers to develop tracking URLs, collect creative assets, implement campaign measurement and setup campaigns within each marketing platform
  • Conduct ongoing campaign management activities including regular bid and budget optimizations and the shifting of funds to the best performing ad units and audience targets within each campaign

Measurement and Reporting

  • Execute a regular cadence of campaign analytics, which includes monthly and quarterly data aggregation, report generation and data analysis for active digital marketing campaigns, in support of the ongoing campaign optimization

Budget Management and Reconciliation

  • Work with CBD’s Manager of Media Planning and Buying to ensure campaign budgets are always in alignment with the client-approved media plan, including adjustments resulting from periodic budget and placement shifts
  • Perform monthly platform budget reconciliations to ensure campaigns are pacing as planned, and remain on budget

QUALIFICATIONS

The percentage of media budgets continually shifting more and more towards digital media makes this role critically important to the success of our clients’ media campaigns.  As such, candidates should have a desire to learn quickly, a passion for excellence and motivation for professional growth.  Additionally, qualified candidates will have the following:

Skill Sets

  • Experienced using digital media management and analytics platforms, such as:
    • Choozle DSP (or similar demand-side platform)
    • Facebook Ads Manager
    • LinkedIn Campaign Manager
    • Google Ads (Google Ads Display Certification is a plus)
    • Google Analytics (Advanced Google Analytics Certification is a plus)
  • Excellent organizational skills, disciplined in the ability to prioritize and focus while working in a remote (work from home) environment, ensuring that all assigned tasks are delivered on time
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work cohesively with agency and client team members
  • Sound reasoning and information processing
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in basic computer applications, including MS Office

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, communications, or a related field
  • 1 – 2 years’ experience working in the field of digital marketing

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Remote, work-from-home position, with option to work in a casual, dog-friendly, Chicago-based office, if preferred
