CBD’s mobile marketing panel featured at annual CADM integrated marketing event
Friday, March 19th 2010
Mobile marketing has evolved rapidly over the last few years and is now one of the most exciting channels for reaching both consumer and B-to-B targets in a wide variety of product and service categories. CBD’s Dick Strassburger, VP of Integrated Media Strategies, is taking the lead in bringing the latest insights about mobile to the May 5 integrated marketing conference of the Chicago Association of Direct Marketing (CADM). Called “Results 2010,” the annual conference takes place at theWit Hotel.
Strassburger will moderate a panel, “2010: The Year of Mobile Marketing,” with one of mobile’s most trusted gurus, Mickey Alam Khan, editor-in-chief of Mobile Marketer, the news leader in mobile marketing, media and commerce. Khan has been an outspoken voice for mobile as it emerges from a niche medium to an exciting part of the multi-channel marketing and retailing mix. Another panelist is Kate Colbert, Director of Marketing for Lake Forest Graduate School of Management (LFGSM) and a CBD client. Colbert will discuss how LFGSM is incorporating mobile into a robust integrated marketing plan focused on student acquisition.
“Mobile marketing—including smart phone apps, SMS campaigns, banners, wallpapers, ringtones and more—has got to be on the consideration list for any company or organization that wants cross-channel touchpoints with their prospects and customers,” says Strassburger. “The time is long gone when a marketer can vector their budgets to only one or two traditional media channels. For mobile, specifically, some experts are expecting budgets to grow this year by 100 to 150 percent.”
CADM’s “Results 2010” conference will focus on a high level of educational programming in a condensed one-day time frame. The event takes place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 5 at theWit Hotel in downtown Chicago. More information is available, including registration.
