Monday, April 19th 2010
Colman Brohan Davis’s (CBD) Director of Interactive Strategy, John Roa, has been named an Emerging Leader and recipient of a 2010 EL Award from the Chicago Association of Direct Marketing (CADM). The award recognizes the “best and brightest” marketing talent from Chicago and around the Midwest. It is given to a select group of young marketers who represent the future of the industry.
“This is an honor for John and for Colman Brohan Davis,” said CBD’s Co-CEO Liz Brohan. “John contributes on many levels to our clients’ interactive initiatives. He’s able to seamlessly move from a high level consultative role to one that focuses on best practices and important, tactical development issues across a wide range of platforms and channels.”
Roa has worked in the interactive space since high school, when he and two partners created an online video gaming hub that was sold in 2007 to a unit of the William Morris agency. He also created an online services business in college. He joined CBD from another interactive agency and solutions provider. His skills bridge technical development and strategic marketing, with a particular interest in new technologies and creative platforms, including augmented reality 3-D imaging.
This is the second year the CADM has sponsored the EL Awards, which have already become a prestigious and highly sought after recognition for Gen Y marketers. The Awards will be presented at the Spotlight Awards Gala at theWit Hotel in downtown Chicago on May 4. The Gala is the perfect lead in to the CADM’s annual conference, this year themed “Results 2010,” also at theWit Hotel.
