CBD and E-RM launch Gen Y business purchasing survey
Thursday, August 13th 2009
Chicago advertising and marketing agency Colman Brohan Davis is teaming with E-RM, a business research firm for national brands and companies, on a new survey of Gen Y managers. Positioned as a "business purchasing impact survey," it will gather insights and data from managers up to 35 years old around on how social media tools are being used to communicate with them to gain leads and shorten sales cycles.
"We want to find out how to reach Gen Y prospects efficiently and communicate with them more effectively," says Bart Zehren, president of E-RM. "In a nutshell, this is a look at b-to-b lead generation to Generation Y in the 21st century."
Research findings part of CBD's DMA09 presentation
The research findings will be unveiled for the first time at the DMA09 Conference and Exhibition, the Direct Marketing Association's annual international conference in San Diego, October 17-22. CBD's President and Co-CEO Liz Brohan will lead a panel discussion on "Lead Gen to Gen Y: Selling to the New B-to-B Buyer," which will incorporate the findings. Other specialists on the panel include Pam Evans, Global Web Marketing Manager for IBM, Dick Strassburger, VP and Director of Integrated Media at Colman Brohan Davis, and Bart Zehren of E-RM.
"Every b-to-b marketer should be focusing on this next generation of manager-buyers and the emerging technologies needed to engage them," notes Brohan. "We'll discuss the most compelling ways to integrate traditional, interactive, social and other media for higher impact, including what's already working and what is on the horizon."
